Mainly pictures :D

Good morning, good afternoon or good evening :)

So...there is a lot to cover & I'm going to try to squeeze it all in here.
Last Saturday I didn't go to Ventanilla, instead I went to Churillos! It was a smaller ministry that needed some more help. I had an awesome time a lot of fun & the kids had such a good time! Here are some pictures from then:

Today, Friday, we finished Matthew class! :D It was so good & I learned more than I thought I was going to. We took our exam today & I got 100% Praise the Lord, it was awesome. Studying definitely pays off!

Last Friday a few of us went to Crepes & Waffles...& here are some pictures :D

I don't remember if I mentioned this yet, but I have my M1 (Servanthood class) in the Kitchen, and I love it! I love learning how to cook, I definitely want to cook some of the Peruvian food when I get home.

The next class I'll be taking is on Prophecy and Dan Edwards is teaching it, I'm pretty sure that's his name. I'm excited about that, it doesn't have any homework :)The class after that will be 1&2 Peter.

I love you all & hope you're doing well :)

Here are some extra pictures :)

Mini-update...extended version possibly coming soon! :)

I will be honest, I've been procrastinating my homework a lot lately, so now I have the burden on myself to finish a lot in 4 days. Please pray that I would be joyfully obedient in the things God has placed in front of me. I want to, but then my flesh sneaks in.

Everything is good here.

Saturday I went to Ventanilla Patchacutec again and I had an awesome time. Next time we go we're going to take pictures. I'm hoping to get baptized sometime this semester, super excited.

Praise the Lord, I'm not sick any longer! Thank you for praying :D

Please let me know if there is anything you need prayer for...just e-mail me at roseyleaf@gmail.com Every morning we have a student prayer meeting for a few minutes before classes & I would love to pray for you.

Reminder for us all (including myself): Walk in the Spirit...Spend time in God's living Word. God gives us His gifts...in HIS timing. His answers are (usually); Yes, No, or wait. Psalm 27:14 "Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait I say, on the LORD!"

Blessings! xoxo

Peru...

is awesome! I don't know how to sum it all up in a blog entry, but I'm gonna attempt to fill you in on some sweet things.

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

For me this was convicting. It seems to come up a lot. I realized about 3 days ago where I've been putting my faith all along. I don't know if anyone else deals with this but I was putting my faith in my emotional/spiritual experiences with God instead of putting my faith in the truth of His word. Once I realized this I was so bummed. Ha, I felt like a failure & I felt like I had been just speaking the truth & not fully believing it in my heart. Its funny how God opens up our eyes when we already think that they're open, huh? Last night I was going through a journal of mine and I realized how God answers prayer in ways we never realized He could. Like when I asked for more faith...I thought "OK I'm gonna trust Him more with the material things I need because He can provide it all, eh pretty easy!" Awesome thing about God, He wants to dig deeper. He wants to fulfill the true desires of our hearts. Also this week I was going through Matthew 9 in a Chuck Track (sermons on MP3 through the bible with Chuck Smith, its a required class). Matt. 9:1-8 Jesus heals a paralytic, but before He does that He says "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Now I'm not quoting Chuck perfectly but he said that before Jesus healed the man physically He wanted to heal him spiritually and that God is looking at our hearts and wants whats best for our hearts. I think that is kinda the same idea with me when I asked for faith. Obviously, a little out of context. But the Lord still spoke to me in that way :)

I know this isn't the usual "this is what I'm doing this week" kinda update, but this was on my heart and I wanted to encourage at least one person and fill you guys in on what He's doing in my heart.

Now, here are some things I"m doing while I'm here:
Last Saturday I went to Ventanilla Patchacutec where I ministered to a bunch of Peruvian kids, oh my goodness! Such a blessing. We played games, sang worship songs, did a bible study & then played some more. These kids were awesome and so in need of God's love. I literally got a 30 second hug from a little girl the second I opened the door, it was one of the best things ever! I finished Church History on Friday and started Matthew today! So good! We spent 3 hours on the introduction and the first 17 verses of Matthew! Ha, welcome to Bible college :) Mondays we have Girl's discipleship, Wednesdays is dorm cleaning, and Sunday is Enfoque (Focus) - just a few mandatory "classes". I miss everyone but I'm also enjoying my time here! If any of you have Facebook go ahead and add me : Rosalie Baer

Prayer request:
-I'm sick, so please pray that I would get the rest I need & the medicine I need. I've had a runny nose & now a sore throat since I've been here. Your prayers are cherished :)
-That my faith would grow in Him and in the truth of His word.
-That I would go where He leads, no matter where that may be.

Please e-mail me if there is anything you need prayer for or if you just want to talk :)

XOXO - Rosalie
