Oh, July...

Maggie & Myles :)

Lucy & Yaya

My friend Lyndsi who just moved

My cousin Rachael and I

Me, my Momma & Lauren at the Zoo for my 20th Bday!

I think like a little over a month has passed by & not too much has gone on I guess.
I've made some friends, one moved, got 2 jobs, started one and have a drug test for the other today. Realized that going to Bible college doesn't mean you know everything and you doesn't mean you stop learning when you graduate. Grown closer to Jesus. Learning to depend on Him for all I need. Realized that He is really ALL I need. Realizing that no matter where I'm at, I'm to seek Him and know Him intimately. So much more...honestly if you wanna know everything that has happened between me and Jesus since I've been home it would take a lot more time & I might as well just let you read my journal. But...that sums up a bit.
Like I mentioned, I now am employed! EXCITING! The one I already started is a smoothie place called Blenders in the Grass and then Starbucks inside of Vons. :) I'm excited to see how it'll work out working two jobs. Right now, I'm not planning on attending school. & I'm just gonna wait on the Lord and see whats gonna happen. Seeking Him to see if He wants me back in Peru and what not. Right now MY plan is to save money and be there in a year or so...but who knows...maybe that's not God's plan. Either way I know He has a plan and that it is much better than any plan that I can come up with.
I'm still getting used to Ventura being my home here on earth. It's weird living in a town so close to the ocean...I could walk there in 20 minutes. I definitely enjoy it and wanna keep enjoying it! :)

Lucy Mia Jenkins

The new addition to the family. My sister had her baby on June 1st. :)
What a blessing of seeing her.
One of the things that kept running through my head while looking at Lucy is that when I was that tiny and had no idea what was going on that God had a plan for me and that He loved me before I could even make a decision to follow Him.

Psalm 139:13-13 "For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them."

May we trust in Him more and trust that He loves us not because of us but because of who He is. Let's keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ the center of our lives!

1 John 4:19 "We love Him because He first loved us."

In His love,
Rosalie

Whew...it's been a long 4 months!

Where do I begin? This last semester of CCBC was definitely a good one and a stretching one. The Lord taught me and still is teaching me so many things. God is continually showing me the power of His Word and His Spirit and how His love does not depend on me but only on Him and who He is. Now that I'm living in Ventura with my parents I plan on getting a job and saving some money and really just waiting on the Lord for the next step. For now all I know to do is trust in Him and trust that He has a plan for me whether it be in CA or in another country. Whatever I'm doing though I need to be seeking Him first and foremost. Being in the states, being in a new town and not being in Bible college is culture shock times 3! But I know that God is here just as much as He was in Peru! He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8).
Please pray that I would be led of the Lord in everything I do and also that He would use me where I'm at. 1 more thing...that I would focus on Him and simply trust in who He is!
Thank you :)

SMILE RO, I'M SHOOTING YOU!

These are some pictures I took before grad night. I had fun. I remember that the shooting was really quick. I was heading to a outreach close to the college and my friend told me lets do pictures, so I said yes. I changed my cloths really quick and we did it. Really funny.

The joy of the Lord is my strength...

Holly & I! :) Love her, so blessed by her friendship.
She says "Hi & you would be doing a great service to your walk with Jesus if you took an Inductive Bible Study class! Homework changed my life! It did!"

Right now, I take a break from reading which probably wasn't due. But I figured this was the only time I would be able to update for this week! :)
The first 2 weeks of school I'm taking an audio class; Intro to Cults. This is very difficult & stretching for me because I'm doing it all by myself. I think the Lord is trying to teach me self-discipline! Which is great, but so hard for me! Praise the Lord for the strength He gives daily!
I have already been so blessed this semester & overjoyed with what the Lord is showing me day by day. Whether it be in my class, in my devos, in ministry or just in conversations with friends. The Lord truly is good!
For those of you who don't know, I'm a dorm steward this semester & this takes a lot of responsibility! I continually have to make sure that I'm picking up stuff off the floors, turning lights off, not bringing anything but water in the room, making my bed in the morning & being a Christ-like example. All of this, even the small things is only done by the Lord's help! Haha, funny how we can't even do the simple things in life sometimes.
My M1 is back in the kitchen this semester, super stoked about that! I love cooking with Juanita & learning more Spanish.
I plan on going to Churillos again for Saturday ministry! I'm excited to show them the love that God has so graciously shown us, please pray for the ministry there & for strength every Saturday.
Saturday nights I plan on babysitting 2 kids that need to be watched during a night service. Once again, I will be leaning on the Lord's strength for this because I don't know too much Spanish & its only me! Please pray for me in this area!

Funny thing to add, I thought this semester was going to be a breeze, but I came to the knowledge that I think this is will be the most filled! So blessed yet a little...I don't know, scared! So please pray for me to balance my time & keep focused. "Keep the main thing the main thing."

It's hot here & beautiful! I can see the sun almost everyday this semester! Woohoo! :D The flowers are blooming like crazy & I can seriously say I've never seen trees or flowers as beautiful as they are here. Pictures to come soon! :D

Love you all.

Email me/add me on FB if you want.
:D
XOXOXO
In Jesus' name,
Rosalie Marie

So I've been home for about a month now

and I leave on Feb 2. So its just a quick visit!
What have I been up to? Well, lets see...a whole lot of hanging out, resting, spending time with family & working. It's been interesting. I think that I always forget that Bible College isn't the real world...AKA not everyone around me is going to love Jesus. This is hard & stretching...and takes a lot of putting everything I learned into practice. I usually end up failing...but the Lord is always there to pick me back up & teach me something new...or sometimes the same thing. God is good & gracious, isn't He?
I can't wait to get back but I'm enjoying the time here that God has given me. More than likely, I will not be living in Denair ever again. This makes me extremely happy but at the same time, extremely sad. It's one of those bittersweet things. But now is not the time to think about all that! :)
My last semester starts Feb 5. SCARY yet exciting. I'm excited to see what God is going to do in these last 4 months of Bible college & to see what He does throughout my life. I will keep you updated as often as I can. :)
God bless
xoxo

Huanuco

I wish that I could tell you all the amazing things the Lord did during this one week in Huanuco. It would take me days to explain all the things He did through the team. We went through a lot of schools and at each of them we did 3 of the skits we had been practicing, we shared testimonies and then just hung out with the people. On Thursday we had the opportunity to bless the church with food & testimonies. It was great! It went so well and everyone was so blessed. On Friday we went to a school way way way up in the mountains and it was crazy. I had never seen a place like this. The principal of the school told us that no one has came to the school to minister since 2005...she was so blessed and it was awesome to see. I really want to tell you guys all the details, but like I said it would take me forever. Just know that God is working in Peru...and He is reaching out to people.

busy busy busy...

Estos pies! (That's my feet!) :)

I'm in the midst of getting homework finished & chilling out from worrying as I type. Me and worrying are often way too good of friends, it's a headache at times. The Lord is showing me not to worry though, He keeps reminding me to only think about today and let Him take care of what is next. All He's asking me to do is be obedient with what is in front of me. I don't know about you but for me, this is freedom. It's funny how obedience brings freedom. Well let me update you on what I've been doing this past week or so.

Last week was pretty slow, I was sick and I didn't do much...therefore I got behind on my Chuck tracks. While I was sick two awesome friends took care of me though and the campus pastor took me to the doctor. I didn't have anything wrong though, apparently the chills and fever were just a flu of some sort.

This week started with the book of Daniel with Rick Heilman. This class is so interesting and hard to understand when you just read straight through it without digging deep and digesting it as much as possible. The Lord has been teaching me through this class to have faith in God and be a true witness with my life. Daniel was an awesome example of that. Daniel 1:8 "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself..." I think that is something we all need to do, purpose in our heart that we won't give into the pressures of the world and that we won't put ourselves in positions of failure. One thing that our teacher encouraged us to do today was to be doers and not hearers only - James 1:22 & I encourage you to do the same.

Today was a good day, I had class, Skyped a friend from home, all the meals were yummy, went to Starbucks with a few friends, and now I'm writing to all of you :)
The rest of my night will be spent (Lord willing) starting & finishing a 6 page paper due Monday. Possibly some reading & maybe a Chuck track to squeeze in there.

November 2 on Monday I will be leaving for a week on a missions trip, I'm very excited and ask that you would keep the school in prayer, we're all going to different areas of Peru!

From the looks of it, I will be home for Christmas break, I will keep you updated though if the Lord changes my plans. I would love to come home & see my family and also stay here at the same time but from what I see now, the Lord is leading me to spend Christmas break at home with my family and friends (that's you guys!) Also, I'm still praying about next semester and where the Lord wants me...so please keep that in prayer!

Picture from today, walking home from Starbucks with -in order- Me, Kussy (aka Ivan), Gonzalo (aka Chuckie, pronounced Chookie)!

Here are a few pictures that Gonzalo took while we were all walking.
